History

The Olde North State Chapter began in 2007 with an idea of Tara Williams and Jack Walder. Tara and Jack presented the idea of an educational meeting to many locksmiths in the Raleigh and surrounding areas. We had our first educational class and informal meeting in January 2008 at the NC State Repair and Renovation facility in Raleigh, NC.

We decided to meet again on a Saturday and after a couple of months, we petitioned for chapter status of the national organization Institutional Locksmiths' Assocation.

We received official local chapter status in June 2008.
